This policy explains how Rewell Renovations Limited ("we") uses the information you give us when you visit this website or contact us. We are the controller of that information.

What we collect and why

• When you ask for a quote or contact us (by the quote questions, phone, text or email): your name, phone number, email address, the town or postcode of the job, the details of the job and any photos you send. We use this to reply, arrange a visit, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, do the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and afterwards performing that contract.
• The quote questions on this website do not send or store anything themselves. They build a message from your answers (the kind of job, where it is, the kind of property, when you would like to start, your first name and, if you add them, your postcode and any details) and open it in your own email or text app. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and it then goes straight to us. You can also just call us.
• Records of work we do for you: kept for our accounts and legal obligations (lawful basis: legal obligation and contract).

Visit counting

To see which pages bring enquiries, this website counts each page viewed and records when a Call, Text or Email button is tapped: which button, which page, the type of device and, when a visit starts, the website or link it came from (for example Google). It records nothing you type and nothing that identifies you: no name, no IP address, no cookie or ID. Sitework, who built and manage the website and our search listings, process these counts for us as our processor. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the website bring work.

For the length of your visit your browser holds the arrival source in session storage, cleared when you close the tab, so a button tapped later can be matched to it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the business, who act on our instructions: our website host Cloudflare, Sitework (who process the visit counts), and our email provider Yahoo. Your own phone network and email provider carry the messages you send us. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work: 12 months. Customer and job records: 6 years after the job, for tax and accounting. The visit counts hold no personal information.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email rewellrenovations@yahoo.com. We reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113.

Cookies and website statistics

This website does not use cookies or similar technologies to track you, so there is no cookie banner. Apart from the session note described under “Visit counting”, it stores nothing on your device except what your browser needs to show the page. Fonts and icons are served from this website, not from Google or any other third party.
