Full bathroom renovation with a walk-in shower
A dated bathroom taken to fresh, modern and stylish: new tiling and flooring, a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail.

The project in short
We renovated a full bathroom, taking the space from dated to fresh, modern and stylish. The work included new tiling and flooring, a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. When we posted the photos the shower screen was still to be fitted, as the final finishing touch. This is an example job: we do not publish customers' names or addresses.
The finished room

What a full bathroom renovation involves
A full renovation reworks the whole room rather than replacing one part. Here that meant the tiling, the floor, the shower and the heating, planned together so each part is ready when the next one needs it.
Our bathrooms and tiling page shows the smaller jobs too, from a repaired wall to a full refit.
A walk-in shower: what to settle first
A walk-in shower is built around a shower tray and a glass screen. The tray and the tiling go in first. The screen is the last part, which is why our post said it was still to be fitted.
Decide before work starts where the shower will sit, how the towel rail will be heated and what goes on the walls, because those choices set the order of the work.
